Product description The CINEGEARS Single Axis Record Trigger for RED Epic allows you to control the start and stop of your RED Epic camera. It features an LED recording status indicator light and pushing the button will start / stop your camera. The button features an LED that lights up when the camera has been triggered.
The trigger is made from a small, machined aluminum block with a bracket that allows you to mount it on a pan handle or other item using the included piece of hook and loop fabric. The trigger incorporates a permanently attached cable that connects to your RED Epic, and two connector ports. The connector port at the rear of the trigger features a LEMO connector, and the included D-Tap to LEMO connector allows you to power the trigger from an optional D-Tap power source, so you can start / stop your camera. The LANC connector port at the front of the trigger allows you to connect it to an optional CINEGEARS motor allowing you to start / stop your camera with your CINEGEARS focus controller if you wish. This set up allows either the focus puller or the camera operator to start / stop the camera. - Remote Trigger
- The trigger has been designed specifically to work with the RED Epic camera, which requires the remote trigger to supply power, and not just close a switch. This unit has been designed to work as a standalone remote trigger, or by connecting it to an optional CINEGEARS wireless motor, you can use an optional wireless controller to start / stop your RED Epic.
- Hook and Loop Fabric
- The included hook and loop fabric is about five inches long, and can be inserted into the bracket on the trigger, allowing you to secure the trigger to your tripod's pan handle or other object.
