Product description Whether you need it for storm/disaster preparedness, camping, or signaling roadside assistance, the Coast EAL17 Dual-Color Emergency Area LED Lantern is powerful enough to illuminate a tent, room, cabin, or even a campsite.It is constructed from durable stainless steel with plastic accents, and has a cage around the light diffuser to protect it from damage during use and transport. Choose from a low (but still bright) 230-lumen output or a darkness-piercing 460-lumen high output to tailor the brightness to the situation and maximize runtime if you're going to be without power for extended periods. A secondary red LED can be turned on to give you illumination without disturbing others or affecting night-adjusted vision, or it can be set to flash for signaling or marking your location. The LEDs are driven by four user-supplied D-cell alkaline batteries, and all outputs and modes are accessed with a simple push utton on the front of the lantern. A folding handle on the top can be used to carry or hang the lantern. The lantern comes ready to use, you just supply the batteries.
