Product description Outfitted with three outputs and a focusable beam, the COAST HL8R Pure Beam Focusing Rechargeable LED Headlamp is built to give you a versatile illumination tool that lights large areas for far ahead, all while leaving both hands free to perform any task.A simple on/off push button activates the light and an output control dial on the side allows you to quickly and easily select from the three brightness levels. With just a twist of the head, the versatile Pure Beam focusing system allows you to switch from the wide Ultra View Flood Beam, which lights large areas close to you with a smooth and consistent beam from one edge to the other, to a focused spotlight that is optimized for a long throw. The angle of the light head can be adjusted down as much as 90° for precise beam placement to fully illuminate where you're working.The light is capable of running on both rechargeable and disposable batteries, and COAST gives you both to get you started. Running the lithium-ion (li-ion) pack gives you maximum output and runtimes, and in a pinch you can quickly change to alkaline batteries—but max output will be a little lower and runtimes shorter. To help distribute the weight more evenly and relieve unwanted stress on the neck and head, the batteries are placed in a separate case on the back of the light, which makes it more comfortable to wear for extended periods without slipping forward when you're leaning over. A 3' battery cable extension allows the battery case to be removed from the headband and worn on a belt or put in your pocket for additional relief. The housing is IPX4-rated to be water resistant against inclement weather such as snow, rain, or just splashing water so you can use it for just about any job you have...inside or out. - Output and Runtimes
