Product description Designed for power and convenience, the COAST HP3R Universal Focusing Rechargeable LED Penlight produces a beam with consistent brightness from one edge to the other without a hotspot or halo. Its 26-lumen low output is ideal for reading, writing, or other close-up tasks, while the impressively high 245-lumen output will light large rooms, tents, or vehicles with ease—despite the light's compact and lightweight design. COAST gives you the ability to focus the beam from a wide flood for close-up work to a spotlight for a further throw distance when you need it using the focusing system adapted from their larger lights. The beam focuses by simply twisting the head.The HP3R is capable of running on multiple battery chemistries, and COAST provides both to get you started. First, you have a lithium-polymer rechargeable battery that is charged in the light using the included USB cable and either the 110 VAC wall outlet adapter or 12 VDC car/vehicle plug adapter. If you run out of power and still need a light, you can use two readily available AAA batteries—though outputs will be a bit lower but with longer runtimes. The light is operated with a simple on/off push button located on the tailcap.Its aluminum housing is treated with a scratch-resistant red anodized finish and is weather resistant to an IPX4 rating for use in the rain or snow. With its removable pocket clip, 1.8-ounce weight, and 5.8" length, this penlight is convenient and easy to carry and use every day.
