Product description The CobraCrane Two Stage XL Tripod System is a tripod and fluid head support system for CobraCrane I/II and BackPacker cranes with or without extensions. It also supports both the FotoCrane UltraLite and Xtreme. The system features a two-stage aluminum alloy tripod with a center support column, mid-level spreader and fluid head and will support 20 pounds in addition to the optional cranes. CobraCrane recommends leaving the center column completely lowered when using a crane, and raising the tripod's center column only when a camera is mounted to the tripod. The tripod legs feature foot spikes for increased traction on soft ground, and retractable rubber feet for use on interior floors. The included fluid head provides tilt functionality to available cranes and features die-cast aluminum alloy construction for strength. It also has a built-in bubble level, and includes two pan handles for left- and right-hand operation. The head features a plus 90° to minus 90° tilt range, 360° pan rotation and individual locks for pan and tilt. The heavy duty QR plate accommodates both 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 tie down screws, and you can mount a crane, or camera to the fluid head. The fluid head is removable from the tripod legs, revealing a 3/8"-16 threaded stud, allowing you to mount an available tripod head of your choice. - Camera Tilt
- In basic configuration the camera platform stays set, and does not tilt, as you crane up and down. However, mounting the crane on an available suitable tripod with fluid head, allows you to tilt the fluid head and have the cranes camera platform follow the motion of the tilt.
