Product description The A Series Landscape Magnetic Filter Kit consists of a Magnetic Filter Holder, A121M Graduated Neutral Density Filter (ND4, .6 stops) and A198 Sunset 2 Filter. A121M Graduated Neutral Density Filter
Often it is necessary or desirable to balance the light intensity in one part of a scene with another. This is especially true in situations where you don't have total light control, as in bright contrasty landscapes. Exposing for the foreground will produce a washed-out, over-exposed sky while exposing for the sky will leave the foreground dark and under-exposed. Cokin graduated gray ND filters are part clear, part neutral density. They allow the transition to be blended into the scene, often imperceptibly. A ND.6-to-clear, with a two stop differential, will generally compensate the average bright sky-to-foreground situation and is also the most popular density of the series. The Cokin 121 series of filters comes in five variations of graduation: Cokin 121 - 2 stop Graduated Neutral Density Cokin 121S - 3 stop Graduated Neutral Density (Soft) Cokin 121F - 3 stop Graduated Neutral Density (Full) Cokin 121L - 1.75 stop Graduated Neutral Density (Light) Cokin 121M - 1.75 stop Graduated Neutral Density (Medium) A198 Sunset 2 Filter
With a Cokin sunset filter, you don't have to wait until evening. You can simulate the colors of the setting sun at any time of day. Cokin sunset filters come in two grades, #'s 197 and 198, with 198 having a greater effect. Some Cokin color graduated filters are color-toned in one half of the filter and have a smoothly graduated transition into a less densely toned portion. Colored and semi-toned image portions can be brought into the desired position by adjusting the filter in the holder. Most Cokin graduated filters are available in two densities 1 & 2, with #2 being darker. Cokin color graduated filters can also be combined with other Cokin filters. These filters measure 66 x 72mm and fit the Cokin A filter holder.
