Product description The Evo Aluminum Z-Pro Series Filter Holder is designed to accommodate multiple Cokin Z-Pro Series, or 100mm-wide, rectangular filters in order to help create the shot you envision. It can hold up to three rectangular filters that are each up to 2mm-thick; or two rectangular filters that are each up to 2mm-thick, plus one 105mm screw-on filter. Alternatively, it can hold up to one 4mm-thick rectangular filter along with another rectangular filter that is 2mm-thick. Use of the filter holder can be easily accomplished by first screwing a separately-available, Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder Adapter Ring onto a camera lens. Adapter rings are available for lenses with 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, 82mm, 95mm, or 96mm front filter threads. Cokin Z-Pro Series filter holder adapter rings are also available for Hasselblad Bay 60 and Bay 70 lenses, or Rolleiflex Bay VI lenses. The filter holder's back plate integrates the components that allow a Cokin Z-Pro Series, or a 100mm-wide, rectangular filter to be secured to a lens with a compatible adapter ring. Three pairs of filter slots are included, which can be used to create a configuration that accommodates three rectangular filters that are each 2mm thick. These slots are attached to the front of the back plate while a pair of adapter ring slots for the back plate's rear snaps onto a Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder Adapter Ring. After being fitted onto an adapter ring, the back plate can be rotated 360°, permitting the use of graduated neutral density and other filters that are enhanced by varied positioning. Four brass screws held in place by four brass nuts attach the adapter ring slots and any filter slots in use to the back plate. Those screws can be loosened or tightened to vary the level of grip upon the inserted filters, which also can complement the use of graduated filters whose effect can be adjusted to better suit changing lighting conditions or creative demands by sliding them up or down within a filter slot. Also included is a second plate that can be installed in front of the back plate, or in front of up to two of the back plate's filter slots. While in use, this front plate is attached to the same screws and nuts that hold the filter holder's main components together and provides the ability to place a screw-on 105mm filter at the very top of the filter holder assembly. This ensures that a filter such as a screw-on circular polarizer, which includes a filter ring that must be rotated in order to adjust the intensity of its effect, remains accessible. To enable the use of a 100mm-wide, 4mm-thick filter, a pair of spacers can be placed between the back plate and a pair of filter slots. Alternatively, the spacers can be placed between two pairs of filter slots so that a 100mm-wide, 4mm-thick filter can be installed ahead of a Cokin Z-Pro Series, 100mm-wide, 2mm-thick filter. Together, these spacers help to ensure that a 4mm-thick filter is not obstructed along its side which faces the lens, whether by the back plate, or by a 2mm-thick filter that is already installed. To help prevent stray light, which could have unwanted effects on exposure, from coming in between the filter holder and a connected lens, two gaskets are positioned along the front of the back plate. These gaskets are designed to form a seal between the back plate and the first rectangular filter placed in front of it. -
- With a separately-available Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder Adapter Ring, allows multiple Cokin Z-Pro Series, or 100mm-wide, rectangular filters to be conveniently used on lenses with 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, 82mm, 95mm, or 96mm front filter threads
- Usable with Cokin Z-Pro Series filter holder adapter rings for Hasselblad Bay 60 and Bay 70 lenses, or Rolleiflex Bay VI lenses
- Can hold up to three rectangular filters that are each up to 2mm-thick; or two rectangular filters that are each up to 2mm-thick, plus one 105mm screw-on filter; or one 4mm-thick rectangular filter along with another rectangular filter that is 2mm-thick
- Can be rotated 360°, permitting the use of graduated neutral density and other filters that are enhanced by varied positioning
- Grip on installed rectangular filters can be adjusted, allowing those filters to be moved up or down to better suit changing lighting conditions or creative demands
- While in use, 105mm screw-on filters are positioned at the very front of the filter holder assembly by a dedicated filter plate, ensuring that a filter such as a screw-on circular polarizer, which includes a filter ring that must be rotated in order to adjust the intensity of its effect, remains accessible
- A pair of spacers is included to ensure clearance behind a pair of filter slots used to hold a 100mm-wide, 4mm-thick filter
