Product description The P717 Color Compensating CC40M Magenta Resin Filter from Cokin is designed to alter the overall color given off by lighting in cinema, theater, and photo sets. Color compensating filters are used to balance mixed lighting, such as fluorescent lights, which give off a green cast. The filters also correct color variances in color film, or correct for an aging flash that no longer has the same power, therefore making a scene appear more natural. These are some of the examples of what color compensating filters can do by combining different intensities and by correcting for any chromatic differences.Cokin P filters are made from CR39 resin, which is widely used in optics for its better resolution over polycarbonate. The flexible "P" size filter is compatible with the "P" size filter holder. Using color compensating filters during a shoot saves precious hours of post-processing afterwards on your computer. - Corrects color variances in color films
