Product description The Passive Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Midspan Injector from ComNet is an industrial passive PoE midspan injection module that injects a passive voltage of 12 to 48 VDC (at up to 0.625A) to the unused pairs of any UTP or STP CAT-3, -4, or -5 network cable. This PoE eliminates the need to install additional power outlets and electrical cabling by combining operating power and 10/100TX Ethernet data on one cable. PIM1 supports transmission distance of up to 330' and can be used for devices drawing a maximum of 30W power. Requiring no user configuration or other set-up, the PIM1 is a true plug-and-play product. Housed in a compact, rugged, light-weight housing, it provides passive power at the same voltage level as the input power supply and can be used to power any devices that do not require IEEE 802.3af/at negotiation such as legacy PoE devices. - Features
