The wax is an essential component for the waterproof capabilities of your compagnon bag, and must be applied every one to two years to maintain water resistance. Additionally, it will give the canvas a polished and saturated look, though a dry and rough appearance can also be kept by applying smaller amounts of the product.The wax is yellow in color, not being bleached during the manufacturing process, and all its ingredients are completely from organic sources. To apply it, gently grind the bar against the bag evenly, then use an appliance such as a hairdryer to warm it up.
