Product description The 232-Amp+ from Contemporary Research is a compact, programmable mixer/amplifier aimed at integration with flat-panel displays and video projectors. This versatile amplifier features a stereo 1/8" line-level display/projector audio input, two 1/8" mono aux inputs, and two stereo speaker outputs each capable of 16W RMS at 8 Ohms or 20W RMS at 4 Ohms. The aux inputs mix levels with the stereo input and can be set to mute or lower other inputs when active, which is ideal for wireless microphones and paging applications. The 90% efficient Class-D amplifier utilizes a switch-mode power supply and operates with very little heat, and draws almost no power when quiet. Full RS-232 control and status allows for integration with custom control systems. In addition to setting master gain and input levels, the commands can also set max and minimum gain, and aux input threshold and ducking levels. Installers can adjust the performance manually in the field using the on-board switches and level potentiometer. The 232-Amp+ ships with a power supply and two 5-pin captive screw terminals. -
