You'll cover plug-ins from Bomb Factory, Digidesign, Drawmer, Focusrite, IK Multimedia, Line6, McDSP, Metric Halo, MOTU, TCIWorks, Waves, and Universal Audio. CSi movie tutorials provide an easy-to-use and intuitive learning environment. You'll quickly master each concept as you watch a DAW pro show you the ins and outs of driving plug-in processors in sound production. About the Author: John Hughes is audio professional based in Dayton, Ohio with over 15 years of experience in audio engineering, sales and education. John has authored CSi vol.5 Pro Tools 5, CSi vol.6 Digital Performer, CSi vol.10 Audio Plug-ins and Waves Plug-ins CSi Master. Steve Thomas is a musician, vocalist, composer, arranger, and audio engineer currently based out of Columbus, Ohio. As a freelance technical writer, he has created/edited content for the Cool School Interactus series of educational interactive CD-ROMS including "Digital Performer 4 CSi Master" (Course Technology PTR, 159200167X) and "CSi vol. 10: Audio Plug-Ins" (Course Technology PTR, 1592001653). Steve also served as an audio engineer/instructor at The Recording Workshop, teaching topics ranging from basic recording-engineering concepts, to more advanced applications of Protools within music and post-production. Outside of his educational endeavors, Steve has been involved in the music industry for many years. He has worked as a session vocalist for Toshiba EMI records, a composer for Pass Music Japan, a VJ for BMJ Music Japan, accompanied various Japanese artists as a piano/keyboard player, and is now currently hard at work with his own band, Keywise. Colin MacQueen is a musician, composer, technical writer, sound designer and virtual audio engineer. He has been involved with the music and video industries for years, both in production and as a live performer, as a Digidesign distributor in Spain and as an educator on digital audio-related topics. Colin co-authored Pro Tools Power! and Digital Audio Dictionary and wrote and produced all the movie tutorials for the interactive CD-ROMs: "CSi Starter Pro Tools LE", and "CSi Starter Cubase SX2", and the IK Multimedia movie tutorials on "CSi volume 10". He was a contributing writer or editor on other CD-ROM volumes in the CSi series. In addition, he has served as an independent composer, producer and sound designer for many interactive CD-ROM titles. Colin is a freelance writer on digital audio topics and has taught digital audio courses at both the university level and at broadcast schools. Steve Albanese is an interactive media developer, audio engineer, media systems consultant and founder of the Cool School Interactus training environments. Steve is currently continuing the development of the CSi product line at Course Technology in Boston Massachusetts. His years of educational and development experience include his role as Media Production Supervisor at the Recording Workshop, Chief Instructor Pro School Midwest and President of Cool Breeze Systems. Steve has also worked for years as an audio professional, recording, mixing and mastering many music projects, posting videos and films, television commercials, radio spots and interactive media.
