Product description Styled in a honey amber finish—and, we might add, the preferred guitar of the world-renowned Gypsy Kings— Cordoba’s España Series 55FCE is a left-handed, hybrid classical/electric guitar sporting a single-cutaway thinbody design and a nut-width narrower than standard classical models. These features promote playability, especially across high frets. The instrument’s body boasts a solid European spruce top and flamed-maple back and sides, utilizing an Indian rosewood bridge to anchor strings to the body, and featuring many aesthetic touches, such as Indian rosewood binding, an inlaid-wood mosaic rosette, and 4-ply purfling.A Spanish cedar neck provides a 25.6” scale, an ebony fingerboard, and 19 frets. To ensure your neck stays straight, the neck’s 4mm truss rod has been made easily accessible. A bone nut is employed to bolster sustain and resonance on open strings. At the headstock, you’ll find Cordoba Premium Gold Tuning Machines with black, ebony-style buttons. These machines sport a gear ratio of 14:1 for precise tuning, giving you a string-roller spacing of 35mm.For electronics, this instrument is outfitted with a Fishman Prefix Pro Blend preamp system, an undersaddle piezo pickup, and an internal microphone. Controls provided include bass, middle, and treble pots, a notch filter for eliminating feedback, a phase switch, frequency and contour knobs, and a blend control to balance the internal microphone with the pickup. Since this instrument is primarily intended for Flamenco, a clear tap plate has been pre-installed to prevent you from damaging the top in particularly percussive moments of expression. A HumiCase Protégé humidified wood case—specifically designed for thinbody instruments—is included with the instrument, ensuring your instrument will stay protected from harsh conditions when not in use. - Neck Features
