Product description The Fusion Series 12 Maple by Cordoba is a hybrid nylon-string acoustic/electric guitar designed to sound and feel more like a steel-string acoustic. Sporting a European spruce top with flamed-maple back and sides, it delivers a brighter and sweeter tone than an instrument with rosewood or mahogany back and sides, which are woods that are commonly used for classical guitars. Additionally, the 12 Maple features a thinner neck than a traditional Spanish-style classical guitar, using a nut width of 48mm instead of the customary 52mm, and a radiused, ebony fingerboard with 19 frets, joining the body at the 12th fret. Side dot markers at the third, fifth, seventh, ninth, 12th, 15th, and 17th frets make this instrument more comfortable for players accustomed to steel-string or electric guitars. Cordoba Silver Tuning Machines provide a 35mm roller spacing and a gear ratio of 14:1 for precise tuning. At the opposite end, the 12 Maple's rosewood bridge sits a bit further back on the soundboard to optimize resonance and deliver a big sound with long sustain. For electronics, this instrument is outfitted with a Fishman Presys Blend preamp system, an undersaddle piezo pickup, and an internal body microphone. The preamp system provides bass, middle, and treble controls, as well as notch filter and phase controls for eliminating feedback, a mic blend to balance the internal microphone with the pickup, and a volume knob to adjust the system's overall output level. Furthermore, a built-in tuner is provided for your convenience, and an included gig bag protects this handsome instrument while transporting it from gig to gig. - Neck Features
