Product description The GS 360 GB Force Series Solid-State Hard Drive from Corsair is a solid-state hard drive designed for increased speed along with reduce power consumption. This reduced power consumption is accomplished through the use of solid-state memory which also keeps the drive cool as it contains no moving parts. Inside the drive you will find a SandForce SF-2200 processor ensuring enhanced sequential data read of up to 555 MB/s and sequential data write speeds of up to 530 MB/s. This drive features a SATA 6 Gb/s interface that remains backwards compatible with both SATA 3 and SATA 2 interfaces allowing you to use this drive in a variety PCs running Windows, Mac, and even Linux. - Force Series GS Solid-State Drive
- This Force Series GS solid-state drive is powered by a SandForce SF-2200 SSD Processor and fast Toggle NAND memory for both fast sequential read/write speeds and strong random write speed for impressive real-world performance.
- Enhanced Performance
- Many SSDs achieve quick load times with files that can be compressed and decompressed at the read/write stage, but slow down significantly reading data that's already compressed. Neutron goes one better by offering impressive performance even with compressed and non-compressible data.
- Works Better with the Latest Systems
- The Force Series GS supports both SATA 3 and SATA 6 Gb/s interfaces, so you'll get enhanced performance from newer notebook and desktop PCs that use the newest standards. It's also full backward compatible with SATA 2.
- Improved Sequential Read and Write Speeds
- Feel the speed when loading and saving large files. This solid-state drive stores files in contiguous blocks of memory, so you'll get nearly instantaneous response when you click the load or save button.
- Enhanced Random Write Performance
- When running multiple apparitions at once, odds are that they're writing small bits of data to the drive with regularity. The fast Toggle NAND memory gives this Force Series GS SSD the ability to handle them all without slowing down.
- Maintains Performance Over Time
- This Force Series GS solid-state drive supports the Windows 7 TRIM command. This allows the drive to store only the data needed and perform memory optimization to ensure the fastest possible write speeds.
- Solid-State Reliability
- Because SSDs have no moving parts, they can handle shock, vibration and temperature changes far in excess of traditional hard drives.
- Cool and Quiet, With Low Power Consumption
- Solid-state drives contain no moving parts. As a result there is no noise or vibration, and the lower power consumption helps keep things cool inside your PC. It can also help to save battery life on notebook PCs.
