Product description With support for 5.1-channel discrete surround and 7.1-channel virtual surround, the Sound BlasterX AE-5 Sound Card and DAC with RGB Aurora Lighting from Creative Labs takes advantage of Xamp, a discrete headphone amplifier that utilizes bi-amplification technology. With Xamp, each audio channel is individually amplified, allowing lossless audio to be delivered to each earcup, where a 1-ohm output impedance drives headphones with an impedance from 16-600 ohms. Additionally, the AE-5 is a SABRE32 Ultra Class DAC, which delivers 32-bit / 384 kHz audio playback with a dynamic range of up to 122 dB. Thanks to the Aurora Reactive Lighting System, the AE-5's customizable RGB LEDs and included RGB LED strip can be programmed to display up to 16.8 million colors in different patterns using the free downloadable Sound Blaster Connect software for Windows. Audio processing technologies are rounded out by the BlasterX Acoustic Engine and Scout 2.0 helps those looking for an edge in FPS gaming.
