Product description The 2RU CM 2204 Professional Installation Amplifier from Crest Audio drives 4 independent channels into low impedance or 70V loads. Each channel can drive 4Ω, and up to 4 channels are allowed. A switch allows selection of 0.775 Volt sensitivity or x40 gain. A high-pass filter is selectable per channel. The on-board protection suite includes Crest Audio's proprietary ACL (Automatic Clip Limiting) circuitry, which prevents the amplifier from sending potentially damaging clipped signals to the loudspeakers. It also features 4 Clip, 4 Signal, 4 Protect, and Active safeguards for each channel, all referenced on the front panel with LED indicators along with the power indicator. The Instantaneous Gain Modulation (IGM) circuit adjusts the channel gain to a safe level. The featured AUTORAMP signal control attenuates the signal while the speakers are disconnected. This unit is cooled by a variable speed fan with front-to-side airflow. - ACL (Automatic Clip Limiting) protection
