Product description The 2RU Pro200 Series Pro9200 Professional Power Amplifier from Crest Audio is a 6500W (bridged) power-rated amplifier. This unit features extensive protection circuitry, designed to optimize operation when working with difficult loads and power conditions. The Automatic Clip Limiting (ACL) circuit helps to protect drivers, maintain sonic integrity, and ensure trouble-free operation into loads as low as 2Ω. You can select stereo, parallel, or bridged-mono operation modes via the rear panel mode selector switch. The front panel recessed stepped attenuators allow for individual gain adjustment for each channel. When operating in the bridged mode, both attenuators must be in the same position so that the speaker load is equally shared between the channels.
The Pro9200 uses two variable-speed DC fans with back-to-front airflow, to maintain a lower overall operating temperature which results in a longer output transistor life. This amplifier features AutoRamp circuitry, which raises the signal level gradually after the output relay closes. This will prevent speaker damage if there is a high signal level at the inputs. The IGM (Instantaneous Gain Modulation) circuit is designed to monitor the speaker's load, and detect conditions which may over-stress the output devices. This allows safe operation into nominal 2Ω speaker loads. The Pro9200 power amplifier features ACL, DC, Temp, Signal, and Active safeguards, all referenced on the front panel with LED indicators. - ACL (Active Clip Limiting) prevents speaker damage by providing gentle gain reduction when the signal approaches the clipping threshold.
- IGM (Instantaneous Gain Modulation) monitors speaker loads to detect conditions that may overstress output devices
- AutoRamp circuitry gradually increases gain to the attenuator level settings when the amplifier is turned on
- Additional protection features include short circuit, DC voltage, comprehensive thermal management & current in-rush turn-on/off, and transient sub-sonic input
- High speed, wide-bandwidth output device
- Twin-tunnel cooling with back-to-front airflow
- Dual, rear-mounted, continuous variable-speed fans
- Balanced female XLR inputs with switch-configurable XLR polarity and sensitivity selection
- Speakon and five-way binding post output connectors
- Front panel circuit breaker switch
