Product description The 2.5" to 3.5" Metal Drive Adapter Bracket from CRU-DataPort is designed specifically for 3.5" bays of PC and server chassis, backplanes, and RAID type enclosures. This metal adapter supports 2.5" SSD capacity SATA or SAS HDDs, hard drive not included. The side-mountable metal bracket accommodates drive heights up to 15mm. In addition, its metal construction and airflow spacing provides optimal heat dissipation. It is suitable for transactional workstations because SSDs and 2.5" HDDs have faster seek times and process transactions faster than a 3.5" HDD. There are no electronic parts on this adapter so it can accommodate 6G and 3G interface speeds. - Install a 2.5" (notebook form factor) SSD or HDD in a 3.5" bay
