Product description The black DataPort 10 3.5" SAS/SATA 6 Gb/s Frame from CRU-DataPort is a part of the DataPort 10 SAS/SATA 6 Gb/s removable drive enclosure complete assembly. It is designed to fit most desktop and mini-tower 5.25" bays. Its simple design makes swapping drives easy for additional storage. The frame can support either a DataPort 10 SATA carrier or the DataPort 10 SAS carrier when connected to a SAS host bus adapter. This feature allows data migration from SATA systems to SAS workstations or servers. The frame is also backwards compatible to 3 Gb/s hosts and hard drives. Its LEDs display power and drive activity for SATA and SAS drives. It is equipped with an audible alarm, which will notify you if the drive begins to overheat so that you can prevent data loss or drive malfunction/damage. The frame is constructed of aluminum, providing enhanced heat dissipation needed by 15,000 rpm 3.5" SAS or SATA hard disk drives. This removable drive frame is suitable for government agencies, digital cinemas, and SMB organizations that need a frame to store, transport, and protect sensitive data.
