Product description The black DataPort 5 Plus SATA 3 Gb/s Removable Drive Enclosure (Black) from CRU-DataPort is a complete assembly with a removable drive carrier and frame, which accepts a 3.5" SATA hard drive of any capacity in its carrier. Its compact design allows the DataPort 5 Plus enclosure to fit into 5.25" drive bays. The host (I/O) port of the enclosure operates at the speed of up to 3 Gb/s. This removable enclosure also supports easy swapping of drives for additional storage. It is suitable for educational institutions, small businesses, and home-users that need a removable drive enclosure to store, transport, and protect sensitive data. This DataPort 5 Plus enclosure connectors are tested and verified for up to 25,000 insertions. The enclosure is constructed of an aluminum alloy, which helps to ensure the safety of your drives, and is equipped with a cooling fan to dissipate heat. It is also equipped with CRU's patented Temperature Controlled Cooling System (TCCS). An audible alarm will notify you if the drives begin to overheat, so that you can prevent data loss or drive malfunction/damage. You can secure your data with either a latch or powered keylock to prevent unauthorized access to the drive, or accidental removal during operation. This enclosure provides you with reliable performance, while protecting data. - Fit into 5.25" drive bays
