Product description The black DE50 2.5" SAS/SATA 6G Removable Drive Enclosure from CRU-DataPort is a complete assembly with a removable drive carrier and frame, which accepts a 2.5" SATA and SAS hard drive of any capacity in its carrier. Its compact design allows the DE50 enclosure to fit into any 3.5" floppy or 5.25" peripheral bay. The host (I/O) port of the enclosure operates at speeds of up to 6 Gb/s. It is also compatible with 3 Gb/s drives and hosts. The removable drive carrier is hot-swappable, so there is no need to power down the computer to switch drives. It is suitable for government agencies, digital cinemas, and SMB organizations that need a removable drive enclosure to store, transport, and protect sensitive data. The DE50 removable enclosure connectors are tested and verified for up to 25,000 insertions. Its soft start circuitry increases data integrity by eliminating in-rush current, during hard drive spin-up. The metal construction helps to dissipate heat and ensure the safety of your drives. This removable drive enclosure provides you with reliable performance, while protecting data. - Fits into any 3.5" floppy or 5.25" drive bays
