Product description The Xpander Rackmount 2 Gen 3 PCIe Expansion Enclosure from Cubix enables connection of graphics or other controllers to a host computer. The host must have a PCIe Gen 3.0 x16 expansion slot available for the Host Interface Controller (HIC). This Rackmount 2 provides two PCIe Gen 3.0 x16 slots and connects to an HIC in one host computer, providing the full, theoretical connection transfer rate of 128.0 Gb/s.With an HIC installed, a single host computer can support two double-wide GPUs inside the Xpander. This rackmount provides two PCIe Gen 3 x16 slots for GPUs, PCIe flash memory, or other PCIe adapters with multiple Input/Output (I/O) ports such as FireWire, USB 2.0, or High-Definition (HD) audio. You can use NVIDIA CUDA-enabled GPUs for 3D rendering, visualization walls, or high-performance computing. - Two PCIe Gen 3.0 x16 slots for double-wide GPUs such as NVIDIA Quadro K5000/K6000
- One end-bracket space for NVIDIA Quadro Sync (Q-Sync) card
- One 700W power supply and two cooling fans
- One PCIe Gen 3.0 x16 HIC and one 6.6' PCIe x16 data cable
- One 2RU rackmount enclosure with LCD status display on front panel
- Monitor the status of power supply, temperature, cooling fan, PCIe cable, and slots from the LCD panel
- Expand one host computer slot to two GPUs or other cards

- Adobe After Effects CS6 (with 3D ray-tracing, Mercury Engine)
- Autodesk 3DS Max with GPU-accelerated, 3D rendering products such as Chaos Group V-Ray RT 2.0+ or Mental Images iray
- Bunkspeed SHOT/MOVE, Otoy Octane Render, Random Control Arion, and others
- High-Performance Compute (HPC) mathematical/scientific/engineering applications
- Video walls with multi-port display cards and video synch for HPC visualization
