Product description This hybrid set of EPS165SL Custom Light XL ProSteels Electric Bass Strings from D'Addario combines the high strings from an EPS170 (.45 and .65) with the low strings from an EPS160 (.85 and .105). These strings offer players the ideal combination of biting highs, punchy lows, and are designed to fit super long scale basses with a string scale length up to 38". The XL ProSteels are round wound, constructed using a proprietary corrosion-resistant steel alloy which give them longer string life. Ideal for articulate fingering and aggressive picking, their harmonically rich, brilliant highs coupled with deep, tight lows work in tandem to create the coveted "piano tone" steel players demand. - Super long scale version of the hybrid-gauge set which combines EPS170s and EPS160s for an ideal blend of tone and feel, with bigger bottom end
- Proprietary corrosion-resistant steel alloy delivers harmonically rich, brilliant highs coupled with deep, tight lows – also known as "piano tone"
