Product description This set of EXL156 XL Nickel Wound Electric Bass Strings from D'Addario is custom-designed for the Fender Bass VI, which is tuned an octave below a guitar in standard tuning. The strings have bass scale lengths and tapers, but with guitar-sized ball ends. The EXL156s are manufactured from nickel-plated steel wire wound over a hexagonal high-carbon steel core. They deliver a long-lasting, distinctive, bright tone, and accurate intonation. - Designed for the Fender Bass VI
