Covering an area of up to 5000 square feet in seamless Wi-Fi, the Covr AC1200 Wireless Dual-Band Whole-Home Wi-Fi System from D-Link makes it easy to connect your tablets, smartphones, laptops, and other Wi-Fi enabled devices to a single SSID virtually anywhere in your home.
Each of the three included routers supports the 802.11ac Wi-Fi network standard and operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies supporting wireless data transfer rates of up to 1200 Mb/s. In addition to wireless connectivity, each router also comes equipped with dual Gigabit Ethernet ports to connect Ethernet-enabled devices directly to the network.
Once configured, the Covr Wi-Fi System allows clients to connect to a single network name or SSID and roam anywhere on the network, thanks to Smart Roaming, which hands off the wireless connection from router to router eliminating the need to log into a different network. This D-Link Wi-Fi system supports MU-MIMO technology giving multiple devices their own dedicated pathway to the network to help mitigate lag and buffering.
