Product description What is Mesh? Read More Blanket your home in wireless coverage with the Covr Tri-Band Whole Home AC2200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi System from D-Link. Each of the two tri-band Covr Points in this whole-home Wi-Fi system supports the Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) Wave 2 standard, and each comes equipped with a pair of Gigabit Ethernet ports. Used together, the two Covr Wi-Fi units create a single, unified wireless network with the same network name and password. The Covr Wi-Fi System boasts Smart Roaming technology, which automatically connects your devices to the Covr Point with the strongest signal, while Smart Steering technology directs wireless clients to the most appropriate band. Multi-user MIMO technology allows for multiple devices to stream data simultaneously, ideal for media streaming, internet phone calls, and online gaming. The free D-Link Wi-Fi app for iOS and Android helps to ensure easy network setup. - Whole-Home Wi-Fi Coverage
- The Covr Tri Band Whole Home Wi-Fi System continually scans the wireless signal strength to your devices, automatically connecting them to the strongest signal available. The Covr Tri Band Whole Home Wi-Fi System is designed to handle the transfer seamlessly, allowing you to walk from room to room without experiencing dropped VoIP calls or frozen video streams. A single, seamless network using a single network name (SSID) helps to prevent interrupted connections, drop-outs, and dead spots.
- Wired and Wireless Connectivity
- Each Covr Point creates its own exclusive AC2200 Wi-Fi zone for communication with your wireless devices. In addition, Gigabit Ethernet ports give you wired performance for devices such as Network Attached Storage (NAS), media centers, and gaming consoles. COVR-2202's tri-band design uses a dedicated 5 GHz smart backhaul connection to communicate between Covr Points. This helps to boost network efficiency and ensures that connected devices are experiencing optimal performance when connecting to the Covr Points.
- Multi-User MIMO Technology
- The Covr Tri Band Whole Home Wi-Fi System features Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) Wi-Fi, which transmits data to multiple wireless devices simultaneously to increase speed and efficiency. MU-MIMO support is ideal for streaming media, Internet phone calls, online gaming, and web surfing.

- Covr Points are designed to automatically place your device on the optimal wireless band depending on network traffic conditions.
