Product description Punchbox from D16 Group is a bass drum synthesizer capable of generating a variety of kick drums suitable for any genre. This advanced kick-generating instrument utilizes overlaying sound sources to produce the final kick tone. Additionally, there are a number of effects to further process the kick. At the heart of the instrument lies four generators that produce the Kick tone components. Their outputs are mixed and sent to the effect cascade, and then to the plug-in audio output. The instrument is monophonic and may respond to the pitch and/or velocity of the MIDI notes depending on the settings. Kick generates the primary tone (body) component. It may serve as a sampler or synthesizer (with a few available alternative generator engines that may be selected). Kick is provided with substantial factory content (samples and presets). Click, Tops and Tools generate the auxiliary components of the final tone. They are based only on samples and each of them also has substantial factory sample bank. The available effects section is used to further shape the bass drum tone and includes five modules wired in series. Flowing from left-to-right, the effects include EQ, Bitcrusher, Distortion, and Filter. For sound processing flexibility, these four effects can be reordered by a simple drag-n-drop method. The last effect, Master Limiter, is a fixed position and consists of an optionally activated limiter with the built-in auto-makeup. Once satisfied, the preset can be saved for later recall, or exported to save CPU resources. -
