Product description The High-Capacity Shredder from Dahle quickly and safely destroys confidential paper waste such as bank statements, credit applications, and financial records. With a capacity of 38 to 43 sheets per pass, this shredder reduces paper—and credit cards—into 0.13 x 1.56" cross-cut pieces in conformance with security level P-4 standards. The opening is 16" wide and accommodates both letter- and legal-size sheets, which can be fed without removing staples and paper clips since the shredder cuts through them as well.
This high-capacity shredder includes a number of electronic capabilities designed to maximize safety and convenience. The shredder engages automatically when paper is inserted into the feed opening and stops once the paper has passed completely through the shredding mechanism. To rule out accidents, the machine shuts off automatically when the cabinet door is opened. The shredder also shuts off when the waste drawer reaches its maximum capacity, notifying you it is time to empty the box or change the bag. Lastly, the cylinders reverse when they are over-fed to prevent jamming. The machine is housed in a sturdy wooden cabinet with casters, making it easy to move within your office. Rollers on each side of the cabinet allow for easy removal of the 50-gallon shredded-waste container. - Two precision-milled solid steel cutting cylinders
