Product description The PaperSAFE Oil-Free Deskside Shredder from Dahle quickly and safely destroys confidential paper waste such as bank statements, credit applications, and financial records. With a capacity of 15 to 17 sheets per pass, this shredder reduces paper and credit cards into 0.19 x 1.44" strip-cut pieces in conformance with security level P-4 standards. Additionally, it reduces media such as CDs and DVDs to 1.5" strips. The opening is 8.75" wide and accommodates both letter- and legal-size sheets, which can be fed without removing staples and paper clips since the shredder cuts through them as well. The shredder is whisper-quiet to prevent disruptions in your home or office environment.
The PaperSAFE Oil-Free Deskside Shredder includes a number of electronic capabilities designed to maximize safety and convenience. The shredder engages automatically when paper is inserted into the feed opening and stops once the paper has passed completely through the shredding mechanism. Also, the shredder shuts off when the waste bin reaches its maximum capacity, notifying you it is time to empty it. Lastly, in the event of over-feeding the cylinders automatically reverse to push the paper back out and prevent jamming.
