Product description Dangerous Music is My Mastering Name Read More The Dangerous Music SOURCE Digital/Analog Monitoring Device is designed by mastering engineers to be a portable solution for monitoring the output stage of your signal chain. For I/O, the device features two combination XLR/TRS balanced inputs for analog input 1, an 1/8" mini stereo TRS jack for analog input 2, a digital USB 2.0 input, and an XLR AES/SPDIF input with AES/SPDIF pass through. One bank of selector buttons on the front of the device allow you to choose which of these four sources to send to the speakers and another bank of identical buttons allows you to select the input source for the unit's dual 1/4" headphone outputs. Separate stepped volume attenuators control the output levels for the speaker and headphone outputs. The front panel of the unit also features two buttons for choosing the output speakers. You can select from the balanced XLR left and right speaker 1 pair, the balanced left and right TRS speaker 2 pair, or both at the same time. Alternatively, you can use the second speaker output for a subwoofer channel. A third pair of left and right TRS outputs allows you to connect the device to an additional destination such as a CD burner, iPhone, cassette deck, or external meters. For playback, the device features two channels of custom built digital to analog conversion at up to 24-bit 192kHz resolution. Mastering grade conversion will enable you to make more accurate and precise decisions when mixing your music. It is powered by a 12V 2A power supply and comes in a compact form factor, designed to sit underneath a laptop or to be rack mounted using the optional 19" rack kit sold separately.
