Product description Enjoy the audio and tactile feedback of soft keys on the compact 4 Pro Mechanical Keyboard for Mac from Das Keyboard. The full-size keyboard features all the Mac-specific keys you are used to, as well as a convenient, large volume knob. The extra-long 6.5' cord plugs into a USB port on your computer, which also provides power for the two USB 3.0 ports on the keyboard. Use this USB hub to transfer files, sync your phone, and attach peripherals. An unexpectedly handy feature is the footbar that raises the keyboard, which is magnetically detachable and scaled on both sides so it can double as a 16" ruler when not in use. A designated sleep key on the 4 Pro puts your computer to sleep, helping you save energy and get back up and running faster than if you had to shut down and restart. Sturdy construction will keep your 4 Pro running for a long time. - Soft Switches with Tactile Bump
- The Brown switches have a soft, tactile bump about halfway through the key press. The Soft Pressure Point switch technology makes the mechanical keyboard less clicky while providing a pleasant tactile experience. The gold-plated switches don't rust and will last up to 50 million keystrokes.
- Volume Knob & Dedicated Media Controls
- With its large volume knob, Das Keyboard 4 Pro for Mac allows users to quickly adjust volume while on a Skype call, in a Google Hangout, or when streaming online music. It also provides quick access to dedicated media controls such as mute, play, pause, next, and previous track. In addition to standard Command and Alt/Option keys, the 4 Pro offers access to a number of other Mac-specific key functions. The keyboard makes it easy to toggle between screens, view your desktop along with other applications that you have open, and access your brightness controls, all at the push of a button.
- Durable Keys
- The 4 Pro's silk screen keys are UV hard coated for extra durable inscriptions. The inscription font is also modernized to provide greater ease of reading. The home keys, F and J, have the traditional bumps to help you place your fingers correctly.
- N-Key Rollover
- NKRO, or n-key rollover, means that each key is scanned completely independently by the keyboard hardware, so that each keypress is correctly detected regardless of how many other keys are being pressed or held down at the time. This is especially helpful for fast typists and gamers who often press a key before they've fully released the previous one.
