Product description A Buying Guide for Solar and Solar Eclipse Viewing Read More The Daystar Filters SoliRedi 127mm f/21 H-Alpha Solar Telescope combines a full-aperture solar filter and 32mm blocking filter, with the same electronic tuning system used in their Quantum-series filters, to produce a dedicated solar-viewing telescope. Tuned specifically to the 0.7Å bandpass, it reveals prominences, a detail of the chromosphere projected against the blackness of space, in high contrast; and under the right conditions, surface texture. Through a 0.7Å filter, prominences appear larger than when viewed with narrower bandwidth filters. This version of the SoliRedi comes calibrated for the H-alpha wavelength at 6562.8Å and using the electronic tuning system, which is accurate to 0.1Å, the wavelength can be offset as much as 1.0Å in either direction for Doppler shift compensation and to highlight specific areas with a digital display showing the exact tuned wavelength. The SoliRedi comes equipped with a 2" Crayford-style focuser, and Vixen-style dovetail mounting ring set to be used on compatible mount heads. - Optical Tube
