Product description Get big, high-definition sound from compact, easy-to-use speakers with the Mythos Gem XL 2-Way Loudspeaker from Definitive Technology. Voice-matched with the complete Mythos Series, the Mythos Gem XL speaker packs two high-definition 4.5" mid/bass drivers and a 1" pure aluminum dome tweeter into a compact extruded aluminum enclosure that uses various damping technologies to ensure rigidity and sound accuracy. The Mythos Gem XL is designed to be used as a surround speaker in a system made up of larger Mythos main speakers, or as a compact high-performance home theater system when combined with a Mythos Three center-channel speaker and a SuperCube subwoofer (all available separately). - Versatile Mounting Options
- The Mythos Gem Speaker features a keyhole slot for simple wall mounting next to your flat-screen television. Alternatively, an articulating wall-mount bracket (available separately) can be used.
- High-Performance Components
- The Mythos Gem incorporates two 4.5" mid/bass drivers that are angled in opposite directions to broaden the midrange dispersion. Designed for front and surround channel duties, the Mythos Gem delivers an enveloping surround experience. The bass roll-off of the Mythos Gem is smooth and controlled, allowing it to blend seamlessly with a powered subwoofer (available separately). A 1" pure aluminum dome tweeter produces extended highs that reveal nuance and shimmer.
- Solid Enclosure
- Mythos Series enclosures are hand-polished gloss black aircraft-grade extruded aluminum. All components are mounted on a resonance-free PolyStone baffle.
