Product description The HBP-1J with Jensen Transformer from Demeter is a hand-wired preamp specifically designed for bass guitar that provides both tube and solid-state tones. It features a high voltage (250V) tube front end with preamp gain and passive tone controls, a two-band solid-state parametric equalizer tuned for bass, and an active effects loop with send and return level controls. In addition, there is a balanced XLR output switchable for a mic or line level signal to connect to a mixer/recording console or a power amp with an XLR input, as well as both balanced and unbalanced 1/4" TRS line level outputs for connection to an amplifier. A dedicated tuner output and a mute switch allow you to tune up silently. - Balanced and Unbalanced Outputs

- Active and Passive Inputs
- Separate inputs are provided to connect active and passive instruments
- Tube Front End
- The HBP-1 uses a 12AX7a tube on the front end for gain and passive tone controls
- Adjustable Effects Loop
- External effects can be connected through the active effects loop. Send and return level controls are provided on the front panel
