7-Channel Discrete Amplification
• For enhanced realism and dynamic range, the amplifier section features discrete power devices for compatibility with a range of speakers down to four Ohms. Eco Mode adjusts the amplifier's output according to the volume level to reduce power consumption, with an on-screen Eco meter providing real-time monitoring of the power saving.

Dolby Atmos
• Dolby Atmos surround sound technology dispenses with channel-based coding in favor of more advanced object-based coding, giving the sound designer the ability to precisely place sounds anywhere in the 3-dimensional space. The AVR-X3400H features the ability to connect a 5.1-channel surround sound speaker system with additional overhead speakers, or additional Dolby Atmos-certified up-firing speakers.

DTS:X
• DTS:X brings the home theater experience to new heights with its immersive object-based audio technology, which removes the bounds of channels. The flexibility of objects allows for sound to be scaled large or small and moved around the room, leading to a richer, more immersive audio experience.

Audyssey LFC (Low Frequency Containment)
• Audyssey LFC is designed to solve the problem of low frequency sounds disturbing people in neighboring rooms or apartments by dynamically monitoring the audio content and removing the low frequencies that pass through walls, floors, and ceilings. It then applies psychoacoustic processing to restore the perception of low bass for listeners in the room for enhanced sound that no longer disturbs the neighbors.

Discrete Subwoofers with Audyssey Sub EQ HT
• The AVR-X3400H has two subwoofer outputs and can adjust the level and delay for each individually. Audyssey Sub EQ HT is designed to help make the integration seamless by first compensating for any level and delay differences between the two subwoofers, then applying Audyssey MultEQ XT32 to both subwoofers together for augmented bass response and detail.

4K 60 Hz Supported with HDCP 2.2
• When paired with 4K/60p (60 frames per second) content and a compatible display, you can enjoy enhanced resolution with smooth action. The AVR-X3400H also supports 4K/60p with 4:4:4 and 24-bit video, plus HDR and the BT.2020 color gamut.

Digital Video Processor Upscales Analog Video Signals to HD and UHD
• The AVR-X3400H is equipped with a UHD video upscaling function that allows analog video or SD (standard definition) video to be output via HDMI at near-4K (3840 x 2160) resolution.

HDMI Connectivity
• The AVR-X3400H features eight HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs, enabling connection to various HDMI-compatible devices such as Blu-ray players, game consoles, and HD camcorders. Two outputs will let you to output the same image to two displays, while the third output can send a different A/V source to ZONE2.

HDMI ZONE2 Output
• The ZONE2 multi-room output includes an HDMI output that lets you enjoy a different A/V source in that room from what's playing in the main room.

Apple AirPlay, Internet Radio, and More
• Enjoy a variety of content, including Internet radio and files stored on your computer. AirPlay lets you stream your music library from an iPhone, iPod touch, or iTunes.

DSD and FLAC Files Playable via USB and Networks
• The AVR-X3400H supports the playback of high resolution audio formats such as DSD (5.6 MHz) and FLAC 192 kHz files.

Bluetooth Connectivity
• Enjoy music from your smartphone, tablet, computer, or other compatible Bluetooth device.

Multi-Room Audio
• You can enjoy your favorite movie in the main room while others can also view it in the second zone. In addition, when the All Zone Stereo function is used, the music playing in the main zone can be enjoyed in all zones at the same time, useful for creating whole-home background music.

Energy-Saving ECO Mode
• The AVR-X3400H is equipped with an ECO Mode function that allows you to enjoy music and movies while reducing the power consumption during use, plus an auto-standby function that automatically turns off the power supply when the unit is not in use, further helping to reduce unnecessary power use.

Denon 2016 AVR Remote App
• With the free Denon 2016 AVR Remote app for iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire, you can control the receiver's operation, as well as accessing its setup menu, from your smartphone or tablet. The app also gives you access to the receiver's status display, option menus, control of Denon Blu-ray players, and an online owner's manual. Through the app, you can switch directly to the HEOS app for further control over your music contents, streaming services, and HEOS wireless multi-room control.

HEOS Wireless Multi-Room Music Streaming
• Built-in HEOS technology allows the AVR-X3400H to become part of your HEOS wireless multi-room system, allowing you to enjoy your favorite music anywhere around your home. Share music stored on your home network, Internet radio, or streaming services, with HEOS wireless speakers or other HEOS-capable receivers throughout the house. It's all controlled by the free HEOS app, which can be installed on as many compatible smartphones and tablets as you like. The app gives you multi-room audio control, allowing you to command music in every room from any HEOS device; you can play different music from different sources in every room or group several rooms together and play the same song. The HEOS app will let you enjoy music from multiple streaming services, including Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn Internet radio, Amazon Music Unlimited, and more, or you can use the HEOS app to stream from your phone, USB stick, computer, or NAS drive on your home network.

Designed for Easy Setup & Use
• With the "Setup Assistant," simply select your language, then follow the instructions shown on your display to set up your speakers and network. After the initial setup, you can change settings using the Graphical User Interface.
