Product description The metaSETZ TLC-8d Tally Light Controller from Digital Arts is used with the TriCaster 850, 855, 450, 455, and 8000 Production Systems. It translates the Program tally signal from a TriCaster Production System to illuminate the red camera and Talent tallys on supported tally lights. This controller connects with the system’s 15-pin tally port and interfaces with any tally light model from Digital Arts. The talent tallys can be globally disabled via a jumper on the TLC-8d. The green (preview) and yellow (FX) tallys are not supported.Unlike cable adapters, the TLC-8d Controller features an intercom pass through that allows you to run both tally and intercom signals over a single CAT 5 cable. You can connect your intercom base station to the XLR port on the TLC-8d Controller and connect your beltpacks to the multipurpose port on the tally lights. The electronics in the controller are powered via a USB connection to the TriCaster (sold separately), eliminating the need for a separate power supply. It comes with a 6’ (1.8m) 15-pin tally cable and a 6’ (1.8m) USB cable. This controller is also upgradeable to full microprocessor functionality. For CCU users, the TLC-8d Controller can be interfaced with CCUs that require Dry contact closure using an RU-2 relay unit (sold separately) for each CCU. Note: You cannot connect a microphone directly to the Intercom XLR. - Compact, rugged ABS construction
- XLR intercom pass through connection
- Compatible with TL-XD, TL-1, TL-2 lights, and RU-2 relay units
- Dealer / factory upgradable for additional functionality
