Product description The Digital Juice Orbit Micro Portable Camera Dolly & 7" Articulating Arm Bundle from B&H is used for taking cinematic shots with the digital camera.The Digital Juice Orbit Micro is a compact portable dolly system, meant for video-capable cameras, allowing you to capture smooth, professional, low-angle, or tabletop tracking shots on any smooth surface without the hassle of larger, more expensive equipment. This sturdy dolly is easy to set up and used for both straight and curved dolly action shots.The 2 axles of this camera dolly, each with a pair of inline skate-type wheels, can be adjusted with a quick turn of the ergonomic screw knob on each side of the base plate so that the wheels glide smoothly in a straight line or in a tight or gradual arc up to 360°. The compact 6.63 x 2.38" (16.84 x 6.05cm) aluminum baseplate contains three 1/4"-20 threaded holes where you can mount the camera or ball head/camera combination, as well as any compatible accessory needed such as articulating arms, portable lights, viewfinders, and monitors.The Digital Juice 7” Articulating Arm is a sturdy, compact, multipurpose jointed accessory arm that can be used to mount displays, lights, microphones, or other small accessories on prosumer and professional camcorders and rigs. The unit consists of 2, short, equal length pivoting arms on a central joint. At the end of each arm is another pivoting joint with a 1/4"-20 screw mount. Each joint can be adjusted independently and then all 3 joints can be simultaneously locked down using the single central locking knob. Either end of the articulating arm can be used to attach accessories or to mount the arm to the camera, tripod, C-stand, or other gear. - Orbit Micro Portable Camera Dolly The Digital Juice Orbit Micro Portable Camera Dolly will let you get dramatic, cinematic shots with your DSLR or small camcorder. Though it's small, Orbit Micro rolls just as smooth as a big dolly, and can roll just as fast or just as slow. So, if used right, it can add movement to your production from cut to cut. Moreover, it can get in places where normal dollies can't. As long as you have a flat surface to roll on, whether a table, a floor, a wall, or a ceiling, you can roll smoothly without shakes -- on the underside are knobs that tighten the wheel axels in place; next to the knobs are hash marks that you can align both axels to so to match one precisely with the other. You can thus roll at various angles, all the way up to full 360° turns.
In addition to attaching a camera, you can also attach two articulating arms (and onto those arms a light and a mic). The dolly features three 1/4"-20 threads running along it. You can use one for the camera and the other two for the arms. A post screw comes included for attaching a camera into one of the threads. Also, feel free to alternatively mount your camera onto an arm instead of directly onto the dolly, or you can mount it on a ball head and attach the ball head to the dolly.

Mount Your Camera and Accessories!
The Orbit Micro platform is extendable beyond providing a tracking camera mount. The camera itself can be mounted to the base directly using the removable 1/4"-20 post included, attached on the end of an articulating arm, or placed on top of a compatible ball head to give you more flexibility and precision with your camera angle. The additional two 1/4"-20 mounts can be used for adjustable articulating arms holding a variety of accessories including clamps, LED lights, monitors and viewfinders.
Set to Straight or Curved Lines
The two adjustable axles on the Orbit Micro can be set to allow you to track in straight or curved lines. The arc of the motion can be set (using the 2 locking ergonomic thumbscrew knobs) for broad open curves or for motion in a full 360° circle around a subject. The hash marks printed on the surface of the dolly are provided as a guide, allowing you to adjust the two axles at a roughly equivalent angle for more repeatable and dependable arced motion.

The entire lightweight Orbit Micro unit is made with high quality materials and offers an amazingly sturdy and stable smooth rolling platform. The base plate and thumbscrew knobs are made of high quality aluminum with a matte black anodized finish. This articulating arm provides horizontal, vertical, and tilt adjustments for a wide variety of attached accessories. For example, you can attach portable LED lights and monitors to the top of your camera to improve your view of the action and light it more efficiently. Clamp the arm to your tripod to hold your viewfinder monitor or extra lighting and easily adjust for any angle or height required. Because of its small size, this 7" (17.78 cm) arm reduces the torque on your hot shoe, clamp, and arm joints, especially when used with a heavy item. This results in less shaking when shooting as well as less wear and tear on your gear. It is also a great option for stacking together several Digital Juice MiniBurst 128 and 256 LED lights. To adjust the positioning of accessories connected to the arm, you just have to loosen the central locking knob, adjust the position of all the 3 pivoting joints, and then lock down the adjustment by re-tightening the center knob, which affects all the 3 joints so they remain in the desired position. With equal length on both sides of the center locking joint, the 7-inch Digital Juice Articulating Arm has better strength and balance and can hold accessories up to 5 lb in place firmly and easily. Because the arm unit is so lightweight (7 oz / 198 g), it is extremely portable and adding several such arms to your camera bag will give you flexibility without weighing you down.
Moving a mounted display or light on multiple axes is quick and easy with a simple twist of the central adjustment knob, allowing you to find an optimal viewing or lighting angle. The included shoe mount adapter can be attached to either end of the arm and fits on any standard shoe mount to hold accessories, lights, or monitors above the camera and out of your sight lines. The bottom section of the shoe mount adapter also unscrews so that it can be used separately to mount accessories directly to the camera if needed. Moreover, attaching the articulating arm to the Digital Juice Mini Clamp (sold separately) allows for added flexibility, so you can attach accessories to your system via the arm from a tripod leg, camera rig rails, a table edge, or even a tree branch when shooting on the go.
