Product description The intelix DL-HDCAT-WP Digital Media Converter Set (Transmitter & Receiver Unit) is an externally powered digital HDMI and DVI Media Converter system to send HDMI and DVI over a standard category cable, unshielded or shielded. This unit uses the included 5 VDC power source. The device is compliant with DVI 1.0 and supports HDMI 1.3 signals. The device is fully compliant with the HDCP protocol. This device is certified HDMI 1.3b Category 1 through an ATC (Authorized Testing Center).
This Digital Media Converter set is ideal for installations where pre-wiring has been done using multiple category cables or where space constraints limit the installation of HDMI or DVI cables. The category cable solution is also good for retrofit applications. The compact design allows the devices to be unobtrusive at the time of final installation. It is recommended to test an application using the customer equipment as the signal from the source device varies among manufacturers.
The system can easily accommodate DVI-only inputs and outputs by using Liberty’s high quality HDMI to DVI interconnects. The DVI connector is routed to the sources and display units, while the HDMI connector plugs into the DigitaLinx Digital Media Converter.
