Product description The Dorrough 12-AES Digital Meter-39dB lets you produce hotter tracks without crashing. The 12-AES is a stereo AES/EBU meter formatted in the classic arc style. It is compatible to 96ks, 110/75 ohm inputs, with meter measurement to -39dB.Dorrough Digital Meters also feature specially engineered multi-mode PEAK-HOLD functions for digital recording. This model outfitted with a remote control (Dorrough RW 100) that provides up to four meter connections. The remote handles both digital and analog metering controls. The 12-AES digital meters accept AES/EBU or SPDIF signals. The chasis is a standard rackmount unit. It is also compatible with consumer 16-bit digital formats. - Actual Energy Display
- Dorrough Loudness Meters display actual energy content of the program material, regardless of frequency, while still indicating the peak amplitude of the complex audio signal. This feature allows all program material to be adjusted for equal perceived loudness while protecting the peak of the waveform.
- Dual Displays
- With these easy-to-read digital loudness monitors you can view two channels or projects simultaneously, side-by-side. They are made to install easily in a custom console or with optional rack mounts. Dorrough rack adapters for the model 12 series are available with cutouts for either single or double meters. Both are 2RU high and 19" wide.
- Peak and Average Digital Metering
- The 12-AES simultaneously displays peak and average, in this model to -39dB. Since both the AVERAGE and PEAK are linked to the same data, ncreasing "density of sound" is clearly indicated by the AVERAGE LEDs building up ever closer behind the PEAK! This feature in the Dorrough digital loudness meters provides a state-of-the-art means of highly effective graphic monitoring.
- Right and Left Inputs for Stereo Mixing
- With one instrument, the operator can easily see the stereo mix and avoid classic in-phase/out-of-phase problems as well as center channel buildup that can cause a mix to seem louder. This is especially important in preparing stereo program material for broadcast, while still being able to maintain monaural compatibility.
