Product description The Dot Line IR Flash Trigger Hot Shoe Adapter for Sony Speedlites allows you to use flashes with a standard hot shoe with Sony cameras. The adapter is actually 2 products in one. It's got a Sony "A" type shoe on the bottom with a registration pin for proper alignment and a standard hot shoe on the top for your non-Sony flash. Flashes that require a PC connection use an optional PC cord connected to the female PC outlet on the shoe and the camera. Standard flashes will fire as usual when connected to the shoe. The shoe can also be used to mount standard cold shoe LED lights and other accessories. The built-in IR sensor in this unit will recognize a flash built into a typical DSLR up to 70 feet away and trigger the flash that is connected to the shoe if you wish to use it as a slave flash.
