Product description Dragonframe 4 is a digital image capture software that lets you make professional stop motion animations. The included Bluetooth Controller will help you stay focused on your animations by providing you with shortcuts for many of the functions you would normally use a mouse for. Furthermore, the hotkeys of the controller are fully configurable, so you can assign your favorite features into them.
Dragonframe is provided to you on an installation CD but you can also download it from the Dragonframe website. The Bluetooth Controller is wireless, shock resistant, and has highly responsive scissor-mechanism keys. It has an ergonomic design and rubber moldings to protect against drops. It features locator nubs on the stepping keys and includes numbers for remote data entry. The Bluetooth Controller is powered by two AA batteries (included), and requires a computer with Bluetooth capability or a Bluetooth adapter.
Dragonframe offers professional, on-screen tools for precise movements. You get the functions to compose and light shots with camera controls, test shots, thoroughly review images, program animated lighting with simple keyframes, automate work lights for the animator, apply simple front light / back light programming, and program advanced camera moves using the intuitive graphical interface. Dragonframe also allows you to import and edit multiple audio tracks, as well as perform dialogue track reading for multiple characters.
Dragonframe lets you manually step directly between live view and captured frames or switch to auto-toggle, to loop playback to better review movement; plus, both the stepping and playback functions are fully customizable. You can also load multiple reference stills or videos, blend them with tools like opacity and chromakey, and view them with your animation.
Dragonframe features a frame-based, drag-and-drop timeline where you can adjust timing, reshoot sequences, restore deleted frames, and more. You also get vector-based drawing tools, camera controls, composition guides, multiple exposures, color detection, color palettes, stereoscopic 3D tools, multi-track editing, dialogue track reading, waveform views, time warp, custom face sets, automated lighting, feathering, markers, an X-sheet side panel where you can plan your scene and track progress, and so much more to work with. - New Features

Olympus cameras are the best MFT option for Dragonframe. They have a large live view and support for many camera settings.
Fujifilm X-T1, X-T2

These cameras require two connections to the computer (USB and HDMI) and extra hardware (Blackmagic Design capture device) to get both live view and capture control. They are not recommended.
Blackmagic Design Blackmagic Cinema Camera, Blackmagic Production Camera 4K
Apple iPhone, iPad, Pod Touch
USB Webcams Webcams are an inexpensive option for getting started with stop motion animation. They can also be useful as a video assist for still cameras that do not have live view. Dragonframe should support any UVC compatible (USB Video Class) webcam.
