Product description The Ambi-3 Illuminator Complete System from DSC Labs is a video camera test-transparency illumination system designed to provide optimal illumination for test patterns. This complete system consists of the Ambi Head with quartz illuminator, AmbiStand, light hood, and two spare quartz lamps. The factory assembled Ambi Head uses a self-contained multiple full-spectrum quartz light panel with 11 lamps to illuminate a color balanced diffuser to achieve even light distribution. The head is designed to reduce light leakage, making the illumination system suitable for testing in low-light (high dynamic range) conditions. As a safety feature, the light panel is equipped with a thermostat that disconnects power to the lights and fans in case of overheating. The AmbiStand holds the Ambi Head and has multidirectional locking wheels, which makes it convenient to wheel the setup between studios or engineering departments. The illuminator can also be set up on a desk/table or bench or hung from a studio grid. - Non-polarized light source, to reduce or eliminate polarization effects
- Combi precision optical signal generators (OSG rear-lit test targets) help you align multiple cameras at the same time with confidence and consistency
- Self-contained, full spectrum quartz light array eliminates the need for external light sources
- Uses a color balanced diffuser
- Reduces light leakage, making it suitable for testing in low-light (high dynamic range) conditions
- Light temperature can be changed to suit your needs by applying separately sold filters
- Suitable for news and panel shows, lab applications, studios, and hospital operation theaters
