Product description The Combi MultiBurst DX-1 Window Chart Calibration Chart from DSC Labs is a rear-lit chart designed for calibrating the resolution on your video camera. Many video professionals consider calibration charts a necessity for optimizing camera performance and the production value of images. This chart has been designed with that philosophy in mind and works equally well in engineering or production work.
The name of this series refers to the "combination" of test elements. Each chart is a precision optical signal generator that produces waveform and vectorscope displays designed to mimic standard electronic test signals. It is designed for use with HD cameras, but can also be used in aligning older cameras using its included 4:3 framing bow ties. Multiple cameras can be aligned using the chart's stars. The chart is also particularly useful when aligning different types of lighting, such as quartz, HMI, and fluorescent, among other light sources.
Each Combi chart is printed on a special substrate that is the result of a five-year research program. Benefits of this material include improved color stability and spectrophotometrically neutral grayscales (not possible with silver film).
This model features a white aperture square on a black background. It can be used to troubleshoot over-shooting & under-shooting issues, streaking & smearing, and chromatic aberrations. Note: This chart is designed for use with the Ambi Illuminator, although separately available CombiMattes may be purchased to ensure your Combi chart fits a light box or spherical illuminator from another manufacturer. - Resolution Calibration
