Product description Upscale lower resolution content to conform to your 4K display with the DVDO iScan Mini 4K Ultra HD Video Processor. This unit incorporates VRS ClearView Technology, which offers video processing and adaptive resolution scaling. Integrated detail enhancement is designed to optimize lower resolution video sources. 1080p video scaling is also supported.
The iScan Mini is equipped with an HDMI 2.0 input and output, and supports MHL connections from compatible smartphones or tablets. As an added convenience, an HDMI cable is included. This Video Processor supports audio stripping and also has a digital optical output, which allows you to connect to an external audio system. An IR input port is onboard for enhanced control. The included remote allows you to easily make system adjustments. - VRS ClearView Technology: Video Processing
- The iScan Mini features VRS ClearView technology including advanced 4K scaling as well as enhancement technologies to remove jaggies and mosquito noise from poor quality sources, while at the same time increasing the depth and clarity of images.
The iScan Mini is intended to sharpen Blu-ray-quality video, bringing out details and nuances not visible in the original content. It incorporates picture enhancement presets that are designed for ease of use and also provides all the necessary controls to save multiple custom settings. Since SD and HD video require different enhancements, the iScan Mini automatically switches between enhancement presets based on the input video type. - VRS ClearView Technology: Adaptive Scaling
- VRS ClearView Technology features 4K adaptive studio quality scaling for discerning videophiles with large-screen displays or projectors. The iScan Mini's 4K scaler will scale video and graphics optimally, bringing out details without image ringing, unlike embedded scalers in some displays or source devices. The iScan Mini incorporates three scaling modes.
Auto Mode: Scales anything up to 4K or the best resolution the display can handle
DVDO Mode: Scales compatible frame rate input video to a manually chosen resolution for those who want more control
Off Mode: Disables the iScan Mini's scaler (set to 1:1 mode) while keeping other processing active
The iScan Mini also works with 1080p displays. It scales and enhances SD and 720p content and brings out hidden details or corrects mosquito artifacts and compression noise from your SD and Internet streaming sources. - Display Setup
- The iScan Mini enables a basic display setup by providing the test patterns necessary to adjust brightness, contrast, sharpness, color/saturation levels, over scan, and resolution verification. For full 4K display set up including professional color calibration, DVDO's AVLab TPG (test pattern generator) is recommended. The detailed setup instructions provided in the user guide will allow any display to be quickly adjusted for optimal viewing.
- EDID Editing
- On-screen EDID editing capabilities allow the end-user or professional installer full control to fix resolution and video format incompatibility issues.
- Audio Stripping
- The iScan Mini has multiple audio stripping modes to send audio to its S/PDIF output in auto, stereo PCM, or AVR compatibility mode.
