Product description Quite suitable for standing drummers playing cocktail kits, the 5000S Sidekick Pedal from DW Drums facilitates upward strikes, and can be used to hit the bottom side of a compatible floor tom. It utilizes a 0.5” rod, roughly the length of a floor-tom leg, that slips into any DWTB12 floor-tom bracket, as well a rope drive which achieves a natural feel. As this is a 5000 series kick drum pedal, all the usual features are present, including Delta Ball-Bearing hinges and a 101 2-Way beater. A Bearing Spring Rocker Assembly is also on hand, mounted to the aforementioned 0.5” rod. If you’re seeking to use this pedal with a PDP kit, the 0.4” version of the rod has been provided. - Rope Drive System
- This system, which makes the upward stroke possible, creates a direct and smooth relationship with the footboard while preserving flexibility.
- Delta Ball-Bearing Hinge
- DW's patented Delta Ball-Bearing Hinge utilizes an aluminum design that incorporates ball bearings at both sides.
- Bearing Spring Rocker Assembly
- This dual-bearing system, mounted to that 1/2" rod, facilitates to the quick, responsive feel.
- Ball Joint Leg
- Ball joint leg attachments provides flexibility in achieving your preferred pedal angle and placement.
- Included Rods
- Roughly the length of a floor tom leg, two rods have been provided, one compatible with DW Standard drums (measuring 0.5" in diameter), and one for PDP drums, measuring 0.4" in diameter.
