Product description Designed for professional recording of bass drums, floor toms, and bass cabinets, the Moon Mic from MAY Miking System features a patented, curved housing and specially-selected diaphragm that delivers warm, accurate bass response. This design aims to capture the hard to retrieve resonant frequencies of the bass drum to achieve more accurate recordings.
The Moon Mic features a DK27 acoustic drum resonating head microphone with a large 8" diaphragm that is capable of capturing a wide range of vibrations directly from the resonating head. Positioning the microphone from the center of the drum for more low end, or closer to the rim for more high end gives you control over your sound. Punch, sustain, and decay can be controlled by the distance between the skin and microphone.
