Product description The tobacco brown satin oil Performance Series 14 x 18" Kick Drum from DW Drums features all chrome hardware, a North American hard rock maple shell, a Remo Coated/Clear batter head with an inlay ring, and an Ebony resonant vented Logo head.
The Performance Series kick drum has quarter turret lugs and wooden hoops. True Pitch tuning rods give you more control over your sound by allowing for precision tuning as compared to standard 12/24 threads. - Shell
- The Performance Series kick drum features an 8-ply HVX construction, combining the latest grain orientation technology and hand-selected North American hard rock maple to deliver a low, punchy fundamental, with ample resonance and projection that's ideally suited for live applications.
- True-Pitch Tuning Rods
- These tuning rods feature 5mm threads rather than the 12/24 that is standard on most drums. To compare, there is 1 thread every 0.8mm on True-Pitch rods (about 20% more threads), versus 1 thread every 1.05mm on most other drums. The result is a more exacting tuning process.
- Remo Heads
- The Coated/Clear heads incorporate a coated tone ring for just the right amount of muffling with plenty of resonance. Crimped flesh hoops provide maximum vibration and durability.
