Product description The white marine FinishPly Performance Series 6.5 x 14" Snare Drum from DW Drums features all chrome hardware, a North American hard rock maple shell, a Remo Coated Control Sound batter head with tuning sequence numbering, and a Clear snare side resonant head.
The Performance Series snare has propeller-style turret lugs, 3.0mm triple flange hoops, and a DW MAG snare throw-off system. True Pitch tuning rods give you more control over your sound by allowing for more precise tuning as compared to standard 12/24 threads. - Shell
- The Performance Series snare features a 10-ply HVX construction, combining the latest grain orientation technology and hand-selected North American hard rock maple to deliver a low, punchy fundamental, with ample resonance and projection that's ideally suited for live applications.
- DW MAG Snare Throw-Off System
- A purposefully simple design, the MAG is a workhorse drop throw-off with horizontal tension adjustment and smooth, easy-adjust action. It gets its name from a magnet that is integrated into the body of the throw-off. When the handle is in the up position, it won't release without a slight tug. When it does release, it throws the strainer completely off the head to avoid any strainer buzz.
- True-Pitch Tuning Rods
- These tuning rods feature 5mm threads rather than the 12/24 that is standard on most drums. To compare, there is 1 thread every 0.8mm on True-Pitch rods (about 20% more threads), versus 1 thread every 1.05mm on most other drums. The result is a more exacting tuning process.
- Remo Heads
- The snare has a Coated Control Sound batter head with tuning sequence numbering and a Clear snare side resonant head.
