Product description Hands-On Review: Dynalite Baja B4 Portable Electronic Monolights Read More wfsvductfbtcvyzes The Baja B4 Battery Powered 2-Monolight Kit with Case from Dynalite takes all that is good from the innovative Baja flash head and doubles it and packs the heads in a carry case, ready for the road. The kit includes 2 Baja heads, batteries, 100-240 VAC chargers, umbrella/grid reflectors, wireless receivers, a wireless transmitter, and the aforementioned case.Meant for location shooting and powered by a removable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides up to 550 full-power flashes on a 5 hour charge, the Baja can also be used on 100-240 VAC power with the battery in the housing even while it's charging. An LED modeling lamp is intelligently employed to avoid taxing the battery. Output is adjustable in 1/10-stop increments across a 6-stop power range. The high-performance head recycles to full power in 3.7 sec. with flash durations from 1/12800 to 1/500 sec and a special C-Mode that allows up to 15 frames per second. Since the Baja is power cordless, Dynalite has also avoided tethering you to a sync cord with the inclusion of a radio receiver for each head as well as a 16-channel transmitter that can trigger the flash heads and regulate their power at distances up to 590 feet. Canon users can add High-Speed Sync to the Baja's capabilities with the purchase of a dedicated Canon DYBRT616C transmitter. Nikon users need to purchase dedicated BYBRT616N Transmitter and also 2 DYBRR616N dedicated receivers to replace those that come with the Baja. The Nikon transmitter and receivers are available in kit # DYBRT616KTN. - Baja B4 Battery-Powered Monolight Extremely portable and featuring a 2.4 GHz power control wireless receiver, the Baja B4 Battery-Powered Monolight from Dynalite is a 400 Ws strobe that can be taken on-location without the need for any cables. The Baja B4 uses a rechargeable Li-ion battery which can provide up to 550 full-power flashes on a single charge. Also, users can adjust the power in 1/10-stop increments through a 6-stop power range and it has a recycle time of about 2.9 seconds to full power.
The Baja B4 features a flash duration ranging from 1/12800 to 1/500 second and an LED modeling light. High Speed Sync is available for most Canon DSLR's when used with the optional DYBRT616C transmitter for Canon cameras. A built-in optical slave contributes to the wireless convenience by triggering upon the firing of other strobes. A stroboscopic C-mode is also available for 5, 10, or 15 flashes per second. Additionally, it has audible flash indicators, a glass dome, metal light stand swivel mount, and a standard Bowens accessory mount.
